Then join us at Glacier Valley Eco Tours on our Okarito Eco Tour – a 2.5 hour easy guided walk with one of our knowledgeable local guides. Explore the old gold mining township of Okarito, and the walks it has to offer. Mountain and glacier views, flora and fauna, unique birds and wildlife, lagoon, beach, rich history and amazing sunsets; this is one of New Zealand’s hidden gems. Glacier Valley Eco Tours is a NZ locally owned & operated family business with 20 years of experience guiding in NZ national parks. We specialise in small-group guided walking tours in Glacier Country, West Coast New Zealand.
We provide guests with personal, informative and relaxed eco-style tours which walk at your pace, with plenty of opportunities to take photos, stand under waterfalls, hold ice out of the river and treasure hunt for native flowers, birds, mushrooms and wildlife. Stop for a cup of tea with magnificent views and a chat with your experienced guide. All our half day tours are suitable for all ages and abilities; backpackers, couples and families including young children.
