Stay near the beach in Glacier country. Book direct and get 20% off our bed and breakfast rate. If you want to get the full experience, you can enjoy a 3 course dinner (including whitebait caught by us) for 2 including wine and beer for an additional $150 (usually $170)!
Relax at Mahitahi Lodge and enjoy the tui’s as they fly around feeding amongst the native bush in our garden. Followed by a delicous 3 course dinner which, hopefully, will include some fresh locally caught whitebait. If time permits you are welcome to join John on a short tour of the area where you will learn all about the history of Bruce Bay. After a restful sleep a full breakfast is served to order.
We recommend a 2 night stay so that you can walk the beaches or visit the mirror lake, Lake Matheson, in Fox Glacier.

Who is this?
Mahitahi Lodge is situated near the beach at Bruce Bay. It features native salvaged timbers throughout and has 2 ensuite bedrooms, Rimu and Totara, and a self contained unit – the Matai unit. Breakfast is included with the tariff however dinner is available at an additional change and must be prebooked. We cater for dietary issues as well. We have fishing gear for guest use. There is mobile coverage here and we offer unlimited wifi.
