Sculpture Park

Who is this?

The Sculpture Park is located in Tauwhare in the Waikato and was a 30 year project to restore a derelict landscape transforming it into a 175 hectare arboretum.
The park provides a Art-In-Nature experience which winds it way amongst a 2km trial, with sculptures (NZ made) set amongst a landscape of ponds, cliffs, rocks and flowering shrub’s and trees created from this former quarry.
The bird life is diverse including the New Zealand Owl or Ruru. Project Ruru is about improving the knowledge and awareness of this bird and its importance to the parks landscape.
