The day starts at LDA’s base were we will fit you with your bikes, then hop aboard our comfortable shuttle van. We will take you to Jones Landing where your adventure will start. First up – An easy hours walk along the Waikato River Trail, with views of Lake Arapuni and beyond. We will then meet you with your bikes at the Arapuni Dam. The ride continues along the Waikato River Trail for 2km into the village of Arapuni where you will stop for lunch at the Rhubarb cafe. After lunch, you continue on 12km back to our base. Time for a quick break.
Then the next highlight of the day begins. You will meet your guide and be kitted out ready for your private ‘Twilight Kayak Glowworm Tour’. The next 3 hours you will enjoy the magic of the Pokaiwhenua canyon, stories from your experienced guide, a few tasty treats and finally an experience like no other as you float silently back through the canyon surrounded by twinkling glowworms. If your lucky there will be small waterfalls downs the walls of the canyon providing background music and stars above to top it all off.
